A Snowy Dream
Old printed winter photographs, magazines from the 1950s, small water color studies, oil pastels, as well as torn water color paper and old ski maps on a canvas. Measurements: 18”x24” canvas.
Diminishing snow in recent years makes winters of old seem like a dream, with frozen lakes from early November cold, giant snow banks and blanketed forests. The winter landscape has changed!
This is a collage that we have been working on for an extended period of time. Between adding and taking, tearing, cutting, blending and finsihing, it has been a nostalgic journey to work on this piece. Take a close look to see a multitude of details and subtle connections between contrasting materials.
