Process
In this section, we share bits and pieces of our creative process and the materials that we find. To gather resources to make things in our home studio, we go look around antique shops, dig in our work truck and search in nature. A lot of times, we are inspired to create a work of art by a found item, an interesting image or a beautiful pattern.
We try to draw from what is around us. We strip copper electrical wire, salvage plumbing parts, flip through antique periodicals and post cards, repurpose artifacts, layer paper of all kinds, up-cycle fabric pieces, save cool packaging, press natural leaves and tree back, and take sections of our old printed photographs and art that we have made. Below, you will see examples of our process and methods at various stages.
